Ben Stiller, celebre attore e regista di Tropic Thunder, ha recentemente rivelato di aver discusso con Tom Cruise la possibilità di realizzare uno spin-off del personaggio che quest’ultimo ha interpretato nel film del 2008, il rozzo e impertinente Les Grossman. Il regista di Zoolander e attore ha espresso la sua ammirazione per Cruise, definendolo “uno dei miei esseri umani preferiti”, ma ha anche precisato che, per ora, l’idea di uno spin-off rimane solo una discussione informale tra i due.
